An Affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, Inc. Acquires Hickory Farms, Inc., a Multi-Channel Retailer of Branded and Gift Food Products

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)----Sun Capital Partners, Inc. ("Sun Capital"), a leading private investment firm specializing in leveraged buyouts, equity, debt, and other investments in market-leading companies, today announced that one of its affiliates has acquired Hickory Farms, Inc. ("Hickory Farms"), a multi-channel specialty retailer of branded and gift food products. Hickory Farms sells high-end beef and cheese products, chocolates, desserts, fresh fruits and nuts, seafood, and other delectables through mail order and online catalogs, grocery stores and mass merchants, and direct through more than 600 shopping-mall kiosks which are deployed during the Christmas season. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
